From very early on, children are helped to understand that written symbols carry meaning. All rooms will have a variety of books in the book corner, to develop language and literacy.
A range of equipment and opportunities both indoors and outdoors, will encourage children’s physical development. To develop fine motor skills, children will be encouraged to use tools, and handle small objects with increasing control.
Children will be encouraged to use numbers on a day to day basis, as they use their developing numeracy skills, children are assisted to learn and use the vocabulary of mathematics to solve practical problems.
Children will be encouraged to discuss their families, environment and past and present events. We will celebrate different festivals and celebrations of the world, so the children will have an understanding of similarities and differences between themselves and others.
Children will be encouraged to express themselves, through music, dance, role play, stories, art and technology. Whilst exploring colour, shapes and texture.

Here we welcome babies into our baby and toddler room from 6 weeks until approximately 16 months, depending on each childs’ individual development. In the yellow room, children will experience lots of messy play, and develop language through songs and rhymes. All children have a daily diary so that parents know what activities their children have been doing during the day. This room has its own quiet sleep area where the babies can sleep peacefully, away from the noise of other children playing.
Your child will move from the yellow room to the red room at approximately 16 months until they are around 2 years old, again dependant on the individual childs’ development. This room is set out with different areas, such as role play/home corner, story area, messy play area (including sand, water and paint), construction, and mark making. The children are free to choose where they would like to play both indoors and outdoors. All children have a daily diary so that parents know what activities their children have been doing during the day.
Your child will move from the red room to the orange room at approximately 2 years of age, until they are approximately 3 years old. Here children will learn by playing and exploring, being active and through creative and critical thinking, this will take place both inside and out. Again this room will be set out in different areas to cater for all learning and development.
Preschool @ Blue Room
Children move to the blue room at approximately 3 years, here we will continue to nurture the children’s independence and start gentle preparation for school. When the time arrives for our children to leave us and go on to school, they will be confident, happy and ready to take the next big step.
Indoor play area
Our jungle themed indoor play area will be available to all children to play in daily. It incorporates a double height space with mezzanine level and a tube slide joining the first floor to the ground floor. As well ball pools and soft play equipment suitable for all ages.
