What are your settling in procedures?

We will work in partnership with you to settle your child intothe nursery environment, allocating a key worker to ensure that care istailored to meet individual needs.

We offer one 2 hour settle session the week before you aredue to start at nursery. We invite you to discuss your child’s needs during thefirst half hour of the initial session and then to step outside of theclassroom to complete our registration documentation. We ask that you leaveyour child with us for the remainder of the session.

Your child will transition to the next room at the pointslisted below. You will be introduced to the new key worker and other staff inthe room. All relevant information will be handed over by the key worker tohelp your child settle. If you have any concerns about these transition pointsthis can be discussed with the management team.

Transition points:

Yellow to Red – 15m

Red to Orange – 24m

Orange to Blue – 36m
