Abbeydale Cottage Nursery is a family run Nursery and Pre School for children aged 0 to 5 years. Our purpose-built nursery will offer outstanding childcare, within a nurturing and stimulating environment, whilst embracing the early years foundation stage.

Our nursery is situated within the grounds of Abbeydale Sports Club, just off Abbeydale Road South in the Dore/Totley area. We have a capacity for 86 children and offer 4 age-appropriate educational classrooms as well as a large indoor play facility, a fully enclosed all weather outdoor play area and full use of the playing fields at Abbeydale Sports Club.

All our qualified nursery practitioners, hold either NNEB, BTEC or NVQ minimum level 3 qualifications, with some offering childcare degree qualifications & EY Teacher Status. Our apprentices are working towards their level 2 or 3 qualifications.

Forming a secure and playful attachment with practitioners will support your child’s transition into nursery life. We assign each child a “key worker” who will take prime responsibility for building that special bond and be a specific point of contact for you throughout your child’s journey at nursery.

Our Famly app will keep you updated throughout the day regarding feeding, nappy changes, and naps. You will also receive photographs of what activities and experiences all our children are enjoying on the days you attend.
